Remembering my favorite ball toy

I used to have this orange ball, that had a bell in him. I ran around the house and he would jingle jingle jingle.

I made him real gross and slimy, and he became crusty over time. He also was so slobbery, that he started to shift....

My favorite place to keep him was in my parent's beds. Either under the covers, or right on the pillow....

One time my dad crawled into bed and found my ball. I thanked him, as i had been looking for it for a long time! However, the sound he made did NOT sound like he enjoyed it.

This started a few fun months-years of hiding my toys in my dad's pillow.

After years of love the ball was no longer round, more of an oblong strange shape, his hair was gone, and he was really... really gross.

It was then that we said goodbye to my ball, and it took me a long time to find a new favorite.

I felt like remembering him on this day.

Oh I can relate with this one! I have lots of old gross toys that I still love up to this day although my mom and grandparents constantly asks me if they can throw it out.

It is nice to remember old friends. When I was MUCH younger I had a stuffed trout that I slimed and dragged everywhere and chewed off the fins and the tail and the face. Mom just kept sewing him up. Finally one day she said "there is not enough cloth here to fix the hole you ripped in his belly, Trout has to leave us now." I still think about him sometimes.

Oh I feel your pain. I hate saying bye to toys. I have a hard time not destuffing toys but still love playing with them even after they're empty.

Love,
Teddy Bear

Thanks for the Hide A Bee info; mom ordered one for me as a Gotcha Day gift. I am not supposed to know but I peeked over her shoulder as she placed the order!

Your favorite ball went to the rainbow bridge for balls. There are a lot of balls there.
