Ode to the tomato plants

Look at the basket of tomatoes!
This is sister's basket....
we're going to make sauce!

And all of these, are going to the clinic where sister works
as a gift!
We don't have any more room in the fridge or freezer
for sauce, so we have to get rid of these.

Some of the tomatoes dad stole- so he could eat them.
He sliced them up REAL good.
Then he put basil on it from our plants.

Then he put fresh mozzarella on it!
My dad loves italian food!

here dad is placing the cheese carefully on his tomatoes.

this is not made by mom, but
it's another example of something you can do with
tomatoes!

That is a LOT of beautiful red tomatoes. Although they are not my favorite, I would enjoy some of that mozzarella that your dad is putting on top! Ever try tomatoes with feta?

Wow, I love veggies. My brother Mack eats them in his special all natural doggie treats. Something about being all green. Mack is napping now, so I am reading blobs. I love tomatos. You are so lucky.

Mom has some too!

Someone from work gave her some - along with some green/red peppers -

She's going to do SOMETHING with them!

Happy WEEKEND!

Holy cow! Look at all those tomatoes! My Mom grew some tomatoes and they actually turned out okay this year, an unexpected turn of events if ya ask me. Dad likes to pick them from the yard. We don't have nearly enough tomatoes to make sauce like you do. Mom wishes her plants were healthier, but for unhealthy plants, they produced a decent amount of red tomatoes. She also got a few from our neighbor's yard, when they were on vacation, and my grandpa brings a few here sometimes.

I am so woefully behind on so many blogs, but I think I have caught up on yours. I want my Mom to grow a garden like yours. The only problem is I'm not as experienced a groundskeeper as you are.

Sometimes my Mom toasts bread, and then puts avocado and tomatoes on it. She will have to try mozzarella like your parents do.
