Thursday Thirteen: Pumpkin Goodness.

Here i am with mr. pumpkin. Thirteen things pumpkins are good for.

1. Posing with. They never complain about posing with you. In fact, they like the attention.

2. They make white dogs look good. They're brightly colored, and it just makes me look really clean because he's kind of dirty looking.

3. Pumpkins never get mad if you turn away from them. He's just a pumpkin. He knows we're still friends. There's no drama involved.

4. He knows i'm the hunter in the family. I will do all the bug killing & smashing. Its just my job.

5. He is definitely NOT smarter than me.

6. If a pumpkin is watching you, he is NOT creepy. You never have to worry about a pumpkin stalker. He's pretty harmless. Unless of course its the headless horseman. I've heard he'll take your head. I certainly don't want HIM in my backyard. No sir.

7. A pumpkins skull can open up. Thats pretty cool. You don't have to put him to sleep to do it either. He won't protest.

8. You can sniff a pumpkin, and he won't think you're being fresh. I mean, come on. Sometimes, you just want to explore new smells.

9. A pumpkin will let you look inside him. Its a dissection almost. Only, mom already removed all his insides.

10. You can tell him all your secrets. He won't tell a soul. I told him where i hid some treats. He's a good friend that pumpkin.

11. Sometimes a pumpkin will try to act tough. However, he's really just covering up his soft side. I'll protect you mr. pumpkin.

12. A pumpkin is very tolerant of all kinds of things. Kids smash them during halloween all the time. The pumpkin never says a word. He's just happy someone noticed him. (no one smashed MY pumpkin)

13. In the end, your pumpkin friend is always there when you need a shoulder to vent. He and i will be buddies forever.

Or at least until he rots and dad uses him in the garden.
